Ever heard of the vestibular bulbs? They are part of a system of erectile tissues now understood to be a complex network of female pleasure.

My friend, August Mclaughlin,  calls her female empowering radio show, “Girl Boner.” Though she may have titled her show as a tongue-in-cheek way to illuminate her quest to discuss female arousal, August was actually describing our genitals better than most gynecologists. We get wonderful internal boners when we become aroused!

There are three systems of erectile tissue: the clitoris, the urethral and perineal sponges and the vestibular bulbs. Today, we shall talk about the bulbs.

Sheri Winston, author of Women’s Anatomy of Arousal, describes the vestibular bulbs as “big wads of erectile tissue, nestled beneath the labial lips.” On page 110 of her amazing book, she offers vulva owners a simple technique in how to find them:

“Place your fingers firmly on the skin on either side of your vaginal opening and press down, feeling through the skin and fatty tissue to the muscles and bulbs beneath them. Start to rub your bulbs and you’ll feel them swell up under your fingers.”

I tried it and felt a deep-in-the-gut erotic feeling. More please.

To celebrate my vestibular bulbs and yours, I will adjust the famous song by ACDC:

I’ve got big bulbs

You’ve got big bulbs

She’s got the biggest bulbs of them all!
