Live in Los Angeles? Got plans Thursday night? If you love sex and you love a good story, this is the event for you. I’ve attended twice and both times have found myself laughing, cheering, heart touched and yeah, feeling sexy.
Never heard of Bawdy? Several people will tell true stories about their sex lives without notes and in ten minutes or less. The theme for Thursday is “It Seemed Like a Good Idea at the Time.” I will be telling my first bawdy story!
Dixie De La Tour will be our hostess, and she loves to make this event social. Last time I was there we played a game similar to Bingo but instead it was called “Bango.” Very fun. She gives out prizes and she herself is a real hoot – not to be missed.
Here’s a video sample of three bawdy stories: https://vimeo.com/35861189
The venue will be in a great big upstairs room of a Busby’s East near Wilshire and La Brea. I found street parking last time I was there.
Tickets are $12 in advance. Click here to get yours: http://bawdystorytellingitlagiattla.eventbrite.com
$15 at the door.
Thursday will also include BawdySlam where audience members can put their name in a hat and get up there and share a story!
Remember: Doors at 7:30, Stories at 8:30!

Here’s Dixie’s description of the evening:
Oooh, an evening of Bad Decisions!
Have you ever have that moment where you wake up in a small county jail without your shoelaces, belt, or dignity? How about some random bed where you try to remember where your pants are, where the handcuff key is, and why your ass hurts? Perhaps Anal Experimentation with hilarious results? Yeah, Me neither. But have you ever wanted to hear stories from people who have, though? Yeah, us too!
This month, Bawdy Storytelling – the Jager shot in your orange juice – presents: ‘It Seemed like a Good Idea at the Time…’, an evening of identifying a bad idea, acknowledging a bad idea, and going through with that bad idea. If you’ve been telling your friends about this mind-boggling fun storytelling event, this month’s show is a great intro to what Bawdy Storytelling is: edgy, explicit, smart, and ultimately completely social, And if you arrive at the show and find an angle without representation, put your name into the hat to tell YOUR story and help us cover all the bases – EVERYBODY has a story for this theme!
