Such a powerful word – cunt. Just writing the title of this blog felt risky. It literally felt like I was “asking for it” – asking for trouble, for violence, to be attacked. Just from the word.
In Gloria Betronis’ book, Stone Age Divas, I learned that the word cunt derived from ancient Sumerian and had various meanings including woman and priestess and sourced from the word “queen.”
I would be happy for you to call me Woman.
I would be happy for you to call me Priestess.
I would be happy for you to call me Queen.
So bring it. Call me Cunt, and I will thank you.
Call me Cunt and kiss my hand.
Call me Cunt and lower your eyes in deference.
Call me Cunt, and if you are female, I will return the favor.
