In an earlier post, I wrote about how I got to meet my sex educator hero, Reid Mahalko. He led a show and tell class about hand sex, and it was magnificent. Here’s what else happened that afternoon:
When I arrived on the set, a helpful gal with a blue stripe in her hair explained that she would be teaching the second class of the day. The topic was pegging. I’ve heard the term, but didn’t know what it was.
A young man arrived; he was going to be the demo model for whatever pegging was. We were gathered around a platform; the guy, Wolf, was lying on his back. Allison explained that pegging is a sexual activity where a woman wears a strap-on dildo and uses it to have anal sex with a man. In this demo, she would show us how it’s done.
Though sitting dutifully attentive, I was dancing an inward jig of delight. What a wonderful, wonderful afternoon this was turning out to be!
As our guide, Allison Moon was affable and knowledgeable. She put us all at ease because she was comfortable with herself and the topic. Wolf explained to us at the start that he was experienced with this kind of sex and liked it very much. Given that he was heterosexual, Wolf was eager to dispel the myth that only gay men liked anal play. He was making a brave statement by letting us (and the cameras) be there during this intimate experience.
When I’ve envisioned this kind of sex, I’ve imagined that the woman would be behind the man in what’s typically called doggie style. Allison “pegged” Wolf in the missionary position. She looked into Wolf’s eyes and read his body language. The proceedings were gentle, respectful and tender.
While Allison explained the subtle nuances of what she was doing, Wolf dipped into a relaxed state of pleasure. It was exquisite to be there and an honor to witness. And yes, it was erotic.

Later, while the cast, crew and audience members milled around the snack table nibbling on pretzels and veggies, I started a conversation with Wolf. After thanking him for what I’d just seen, I asked him if he’d ever done something similar. “Yes,” he explained, “I work in adult films.”
Oh. I was talking to a porn star. I had some reorganizing to do in my brain.
He explained that often the way things are shot on porn shoots prevents real connection with his partner. So he started to create his own videos on his own website. The site has already been awarded a 2013 Feminist Porn Award.
I was learning new things left and right in this conversation. I certainly had some research to do. That night, I found his website: Wolf Hudson is Bad and took a look around. The scenarios were fun, unique and creative. In one case – his partner Bianca Stone – was so obviously having a hot, good time, I couldn’t help but become a fan.
Now Wolf is my Twitter buddy. And I have happy memories of that day.
